Summertime has passed but the sadness is here to stay. This past weekend, Cedric Gervais stopped by Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles during his tour. Cedric Gervais, the French DJ residing in Miami Beach, Florida as well as a Grammy Award winner for his remix of Lana Del Rey’s, “Summertime Sadness”, brought nothing but good vibes from the beaches of Florida.

Cedric Gervais' set at Avalon Hollywood was nothing short of mesmerizing. The moment he took the stage, a burst of energy permeated the air, electrifying the atmosphere and captivating the eager crowd. With every beat drop, the room exploded into a sea of pulsating bodies, all completely enthralled by Gervais' mixing prowess and infectious tunes. Gervais effortlessly transitioned between different genres, seamlessly blending house, techno, and progressive elements to create a truly dynamic and diverse set. The crowd was taken on an immersive musical journey, with each track carefully chosen to build energy and elevate the experience. From melodic hooks to thumping basslines, Cedric Gervais knew exactly how to keep the audience engaged and craving for more.

The combination of Gervais' technical skill and showmanship created an unforgettable night. The venue itself lent a perfect backdrop to the music, with its state-of-the-art sound system, fog machines, lasers, giant LCD screens, and a spacious dance floor. As the night progressed, his set became an amalgamation of infectious energy, expertly crafted tracks, and a palpable connection between the artist and the crowd. Cedric Gervais' performance was a testament to his talent and ability to create magical moments on the dancefloor.

During Cedric Gervais' electrifying set, his Grammy award winning remix of Lana Del Rey’s, “Summertime Sadness” carried the crowd into a state of pure ecstasy. The remix of "Summertime Sadness" resonated with infectious energy, blending the popular vocals with pulsating basslines, creating a vibrant atmosphere that had everyone singing along. Despite that song being Cedric’s most popular song with over half a billion streams, the 2010s’ throwback classic "Titanium" elevated the night to another level, with its classoc lyrics and even more recognizable melody infusing a sense of a time when we were all younger and carefree. At that point in the night, Cedric had already proven himself, and I, just like many others, were more than satisfied with his performance. However, Cedric was not done and when the opening notes of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" by Eurythmics filled the air, the crowd erupted in a collective eruption of pure bliss, transported to a realm where every beat and synthwave thrived and invigorated their senses. These iconic tracks showcased Cedric Gervais' talent for transforming familiar tunes into explosive dance anthems, leaving a lasting impression on all fortunate enough to be present.

From Florida to LA, Cedric did not disappoint. He lived up to all expectations and more being able to read the crowd perfectly and deliver on the spot. During his short stay in LA, he has managed to leave an impactful memory on all of those who were able to experience this spectacular night. With that being said, Cedric Gervais will take his talents to Texas next where he will undoubtedly leave just as big of an impression like he did in LA.
